Hi all, well it is my turn to add a problem I wasn't going to bother you all as I set this up to help others but It would be nice to share and talk to you all as you make me smile
Well my fiance and I have been together for just over 4 years, we have lived together for three and we get on so well, we never argue and chose to spend all our time together, neither of us have worked for a while now and we have rarely been apart.
On Monday he is starting a residential college about a five hour car drive away He will only be able to return home every other weekend and I am dreading it!
I REALLY do not want him to go but cant hold him back as he will live to regret it and may hold it against me in the future, though he says he wont I am sure he will if he is unhappy in his work and wishes he had been to college to get a better life for us/himself...
Well wish me luck...Monday is looming....Oh dear think you will be hearing a lot more from me as I will be lonely! xxx

Hi Kaytee, I can empathise with you as my other half also goes away quite often, sometimes to dangerous places like Iraq or Afghanistan.
Will you be able to visit and stay with your fiance at his place of residence? Could you move into the same area and get a part-time job or even doing a course yourself? Perhaps you can look into gaining a qualification yourself or getting a job or even just volunteering for an organisation. Volunteers are always needed and appreciated and it would mean that you can meet other people and this might help take your mind of things. A bit like doing this forum but actually having face to face contact.
You have been together for quite a while and you will miss each other very much in the beginning, but believe me, time goes by quite quickly once you have settled into your new routine.
If you can have access to the computer, you can stay in touch by email/chat etc. and you probably have mobile phones, so you can text as well.
I agree with you that if you did not want him to go, he might resent this at a later time and I always encourage everybody to get as many qualifications as possible in life, you can always make use of some, if not all the things you learn.
I will be thinking of you,
God Bless xxx _________________ HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYBODY xxx |

you guys can always IM and theres webcams.... five hours isn't that far away. You can send him stuff in the mail (like cookies or socks or a CD he's been wanting). But try not to be too lonely! Join club or something. I personnally love rock climbing. It's alot easier than it seems and theres lots of chances to meet new people (someone has to hold the other end of the rope) at classes. ok theres my uninformed 13 year old opinion (have fun with the house to yourself! perhaps you could go on a trip yourself?) _________________ I know its sad I never gave a damn about the weather, it never gave a damn about me. |

I am pleased that you have your man back with you, I have been thinking about you. Pity college did not work out, but I am sure something else is just around the corner.
Have a good Christmas and happy New Year. xx
