Hello guys, after my brother has been on Ditropan since 2 days, he seems to be feel better. In fact he always wants so often to go to the toilet but his muscles are blocked as stated in the effects of ditropan, therefore roughly he cannot wee…he says that it is a bit annoying because his bladder never empty, he has the desire to go there again and the problem begins again. Are there any people here who have been on Ditropan who are on Ditropan??? He doesn’t want to talk about it to anyone and I am posting this here because I would like to know if people who had this problem are alright now???

Hi Sonia, I am sorry to hear about your brother and the problems he is having
I have never taken this drug before but I did read up on it just now and you are right it does say in the side effects that there can be pain, burning, or other difficulty when urinating.

It is such a shame your brother has gone through this but it doesnt mean he cant be helped, I can understand your brother not wanting to talk to anyone about this but in my own opinion and from what I have read I would say that he should see his doctor again.

It seems that these pills just don't agree with him as he has suffered a side effect, if he returns to his doctor and explains I am sure there are many more drugs that can be used instead of this tablet that will help but hopefully wont give him a side effect.

He really shouldn't keep taking them if he is suffering from a side effect, he is probably afraid of needing to urinate again but if he goes on new tablets i am sure they will take effect as quickly as these did and make him feel a lot better, not all drugs agree with everyone but there will be other options.

Hope I have helped a little (probably not but I try) please let us know how he gets on if you want to, always here for you xx
