DOGLOST (UK)

ABOUT DOGLOST

DogLost.co.uk was set up by Tim Bristow and Jayne Hayes following the theft of their miniature French Bulldog.

They were amazed that there was no system of communicating quickly and concisely the details of their dog to all the necessary organisations.

Having gone through a traumatic 6 weeks Tim and Jayne received a tip-off and Tim was able to snatch Hermy back! sustaining injuries in the process!

Tim and Jayne were amazed by the help offered to them by other dog owners and surprised by how many other people had missing dogs. They realised that their was a need for a website to be set up to put fellow dog owners in touch with each other and the relevant organisations. After consultation with dog wardens, rescue centres, other dog sites and victims of dog theft they have recently upgraded the site to include a forum page for communication, an advanced search facility for quicker navigation of site and have introduced remote user access for dog wardens and rescue centres to add details of found dogs direct to the site.

Last year alone the poster service and helpers have helped reunite over 2,000 dogs - And this year the figures are rising rapidly! Remember your dog is out there somewhere don't give up.

The whole family felt gutted by the disappearance of Hermy and felt there must be a quicker and easier way of reuniting dogs with their desperate owners. Jayne and Tim decided to set up this site in order to make it easier to find a lost dog. Tim and Jayne very much hope you will be able to support this site and make it easier for everyone to find their missing dog.

My Thoughts on the Site...

As A dog lover and a owner of four beautiful babies I can not imagine what I would do if I lost one of them But sadly dogs can wander off and there are heartless dog snatchers about and I know that there is a risk and I never let mine out of my sight.

I feel This is a really worthwhile charity, people from the UK can look at the website join and become a helper and help to find missing dogs.
Once a member you will be sent pictures of dogs that have gone missing in your area and can print these out and use as posters to help in the search for the dog or just be more aware in case you find a dog wandering the streets.
I pray it will never happen but if your dog goes missing you can add your dog to the website for free in order to get more help with the search for your beloved best friend.
