Hunger

So I don't know if this is a heath issue, but it's really starting to worry me.

My friends know me as the person who is always hungry and can't wait for lunch, or any other meal. I always have extra snacks on me and I love food. There may be one or two days about every three months or so that I'm not hungry at all, usually we take it as a sign that something bad is going to happen, and it always does.

But lately, I'm not hungry at all. I may be hungry for lunch, but otherwise I'm not hungry at all. I don't want my parents to worry so I usually force myself to eat some of my dinner and a little for breakfest. A few weeks ago I would have snacks in between all my classes, with a stash of food in my locker. I haven't had a snack for almost three weeks.

Any ideas on what may be going on? There isn't much else to it. My parents have been putting a bit of pressure on me and I am very busy some days, but not many. I get enough sleep, I have no idea what may be wrong.

This happens to me all the time. I am a serial snacker too. I don't know why, but somedays you are just like 'bleh. Not hungry' Maybe it is that you slow down in winter? Perhaps we are both bears and this is hibernation period!
I would say don't worry too much. Be sure to eat something for breakfast and dinner, and at leats get something to drink for lunch. If I'm on a not hungry cycle, I usually eat an orange and some cranberry juice for breakfast then a water for lunch and a bit of what is for dinner.

okay thanks. I just didn't know if it was serious or not.

I wish I could hibernate! I love sleeping!

Sorry to come in late on this one. I wouldn't worry too much Greta, unless this carries on for sometime. If you are under a little pressure at home, that could well affect your appetite, even if you do not realise that you are feeling stressed! Have you tried maybe eating smaller meals, and gradually building your appetite back up again? Have you found when you are not hungry, that if you have forced yourself to eat, that you actually were hungrier than you thought? Or does it make you feel ill?
Are you drinking more than usual? Only that can make you feel fuller than you actually are?
I'd be interested to know how things are going now for you?

My appitite has come back, but not as much. It may be stressed related because that's all I'm really feeling right now.  I'm also trying to eat healthier, like grapes instead of chips, and that seems to help a lot too.
